What did Kindiki tell police over protests?
With the protests in mind, Nrage knows only too well that it can go from very good to ugly within a short time and end up with people dying or getting injured badly.
"Dear colleagues, as you get out of your house, remember the words our Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki said yesterday, let's protect them and guide them where possible," he said.
"Fellow officer, don't be carried by emotions, don't do to other people's children what you would not want to be done to your child Kenya is big enough for all of us," he said.
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Ngare alluded to the fact that it is not always being in those demos as some protesters can come close and prove them.
Ngare shares how police suffer during demos
"They abuse us, provoke us, and some even poke our faces," he said while urging his colleagues not to be deterred by the protesters.
Ngare also shared that while out there, it is never easy for the families they leave at home. He revealed that before leaving his house in the morning, his father reminded him to pray before going to work.
"This is the same message my wife told me last night. Those families who have police officers serving also pray a lot, knowing what we go through.
"I pray for safety as we go out there to protect lives and properties. To our fellow Kenyans, as you go out there, know there are people who are looking for their daily bread as well. Do not touch anybody or steal from them, Kenya is for all of us.
