Out of the BJP’s 303 MPs only 110 MPs are originally from BJP while the rest have been ‘imported’ from the Congress and other parties: Sanjay Raut
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday hit out at the BJP for splitting opposition parties and poaching leaders from them. Raut said that out of the BJP’s 303 MPs only 110 MPs are originally from BJP while the rest have been ‘imported’ from the Congress and other parties. Raut said that BJP President JP Nadda and his party have been forced to break other parties before the Lok Sabha elections and it has had to resurrect the NDA by taking many small regional parties along with it. No matter how much the BJP claims to finish regional and small parties it’s not possible.
“Because at present there is democracy in this country. Let (state BJP president) Chandrasekhar Bawankule say anything, see if your party (BJP) survives after 2024… Your party is no longer BJP but Congress. If the Congressmen who joined that party or people like us (Shiv Sena led by Shinde) who went there decide, BJP will be finished in a night. If they decide to leave BJP, your party will cease to exist. Out of your 303 MPs, 110 MPs are originally from BJP. All others are from Congress and other parties. If all these leaders and MPs decide that if they leave BJP now, this country will become BJP-free, probably Bawankule is not aware of this,” Raut said.
“These BJP wants to destroy democracy from the country, destroy our freedom, take away the freedom to write, speak and contest elections. This was not the stand of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani. This is the ideology of Modi-Shah. We are all united against this ideology. Who is finishing whom in the 2024 elections will soon be known. Who survives and who is finished, people will know who they are burying in a democratic way,” Raut said.
