Vijay Sethupathi, Ilaiyaraaja, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan Cast Their Votes For Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Elections 2024 From Chennai

Award-winning actor Dhanush, celebrated music composer Ilayaraaja and Tamil actors Sarath Kumar, Radhika Sarath Kumar and Sivakarthikeyan were among those to cast their votes in Chennai as part of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The first phase of the seven-phase voting began on April 19, Friday. Tamil Nadu is among the first states to go to the polls.

Sivakarthikeyan casts his vote

In videos shared on X, Sarath Kumar and his wife Radhika were seen making their way to the polling booth in Kotivakkam, Chennai to cast their votes. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also stepped out with his wife Aarthi to cast his vote. On the other hand, Ilaiyaraaja was seen doing his duty in T. Nagar. Director Vetrimaaran was also seen at a polling booth as was Vijay Sethupathi.

Dhanush walks in after Rajinikanth

Dhanush reached the polling booth in his luxury car and walked to the polling booth amid tight security. Dhanush’s team along with police officials stationed at the polling booth helped him reach the destination.

The actor cast his vote and was seen posing with his inked finger for the cameras. Dhanush arrived a few moments after his former father-in-law, superstar Rajinikanth was seen at a polling booth, casting his vote. The superstar was almost mobbed at the venue.

Meanwhile, Ajith was seen at the polling booth in Thiruvanmiyur to cast his vote. The actor reportedly reached the polling booth at 6:40 am and waited until the polling booth opened at 7 am. Dressed in a white outfit, Ajith was seen casting his vote and posing for the cameras.

The first phase of elections for the 18th Lok Sabha elections starting April 19. The phase 1 polling will cover 102 constituencies spread across 21 states and Union Territories (UTs). The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
