Billionaire heir Anant Ambani’s bide-to-be Radhika Merchant was surrounded by A-list guests at the couple’s lavish pre-wedding celebration this weekend – but she also found a way to inject some celebrity glam into one of her ensembles, too.

The 29-year-old, who is due to wed Anant, 28, later this year, sported a stunning custom gown during the three-day event that may well look familiar to any eagle-eyed fashion fans out there.

Radhika channeled Blake Lively in a gown that was incredibly similar to the incredible optical illusion dress worn by the Gossip Girl star at the the 2022 Met Gala.

Radhika, 29, is marrying Anant Ambani, 28, the youngest son of Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, who has a net worth of more than $116 billion.

The happy couple is not getting married until July, but they kicked off the celebration early with a three-day wedding extravaganza attended by Ivanka Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates, complete with a $9 million, 90-minute performance by Rihanna – and plenty of fashion forward moments.

The couple, who come from two of India’s richest families, invited 1,000 guests to the groom’s home this weekend to celebrate, with Radhika donning the glamorous gown for one of the many events they hosted during the extravagant weekend.

The Indian Pop Culture TikTok account, created by a user called Kayla, pointed out that Radhika wore the déjà vu-inducing pink strapless gown when she welcomed her guests for the weekend.

Kayla explained that Blake wore the original version of this custom Versace dress to the 2022 Met Gala and ‘everyone was obsessed with this dress.’

In a separate TikTok, Kayla shared more details about ‘the richest Indian wedding bride,’ including how the dress was originally designed with input from the Gossip Girl star and was inspired by iconic New York City buildings.

The underside of Blake’s gown was a rich turquoise, which was an homage to the Statue of Liberty, the train included the same celestial map on the ceiling of Grand Central Station, and the bustier was inspired by the Empire State Building’s architecture.

Radhika wore a dress heavily-inspired by Lively’s original bespoke gown, with similar pink embellishments, although it did not have the ornate Manhattan-influenced train.

The bride-to-be also wore a black string around her wrist, which one commenter pointed out is ‘probably a “kala dhaga” black thread to get rid of negative energy’

The custom creation was certainly a hit – and leaves everyone waiting to see what she’ll be wearing come July.

However Radhika wasn’t the only one to celebrate in style – the bride and groom apparently issued a lengthy dress code for the weekend, urging guests to dress in a ‘dazzling desi romance’ style.
