The unit of directors Anas Khan and Akhil Paul’s Malayalam film, Identity, featuring Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan in the lead, has wrapped up its current schedule in Erode and is gearing up to begin its next schedule of shooting, which incidentally will be the final schedule as well.

A Grilling Schedule

According to a post shared by one of the directors, Akhil Paul, on his Instagram, the crew has just wrapped up a pretty intense schedule that involved hazardous stunts along with continuous day shoots as well. The director then announced that they were moving on to the final schedule as he shared pictures with the cast and crew on location including lead actors Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan, as well as actor Vinay Rai and co-director Anas Khan.

He wrote,”Nailed down another schedule @Erode. Filmed some core sequences involving fire, dust and vehicles over a beautiful dry landscape. With continuous night shoots and back-to-back day shoots under the blazing sun of Erode at 42 degree celsius, this one was indeed an adventurous schedule! Yes, we’re stepping into the final leg of shooting IDENTITY. 99 Days. Another schedule down. Only a few more to go…”

A Hit Combination

Identity will be another crime thriller from the Malayalam film industry, and from the director duo Akhil Paul and Anas Khan who had earlier teamed up with Tovino for their debut hit film Forensic.

The film began on a high note with the announcement that actors such as Madonna Sebastian, Vinay Rai, and Mandira Bedi would be joining the cast, the high point being the inclusion of Trisha, which is her return to Malayalam cinema after the romantic comedy Jude in 2018 with Nivin Pauly.

Identity is expected to hit theatres for Onam 2024.
