The teaser of Arun Vijay’s film Vanangaan with National award-winning director Bala has released today, on February 19. The makers took to their social media handle to reveal the short teaser, while also releasing a brand-new poster featuring Arun Vijay .

The teaser features Arun Vijay, who speaks through his emotions and eyes – while not uttering a single word. The teaser also features other cast members including Roshni Prakash, Samuthirakani, and Mysskin.

The Teaser of Vanangaan

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the film’s producer Suresh Kamatchi V posted “Director Bala Anna, makes films in a way that appeals to people in the best possible way, keeping in mind that the stories come with a strong message. In his direction, the film stars Arun Vijay in the lead. The film Vanangan is made in collaboration with GV Prakash. We are putting forth a good movie in front of you. Here is the teaser of Vanagan…”

Written by Bala, Vanangaan is produced by Suresh Kamatchi’s V House Productions. The film’s cast includes Ridha, Chhaya Devi, Bala Sivaji, Shanmugarajan, Yohan Chacko, Kavitha Gopi, Brindha Sarathy, Mai Pa Narayanan, Aruldas and Munish Sivagurunath among others.

Suriya out of Vanangaan

In 2022, director Bala announced that actor Suriya and his production house 2D Entertainment have backed out of a Vanangaan. In his statement released, Bala said that though he wished to direct Vanangaan with ‘his younger brother Suriya’, the changes in the story have made him question if it will be suitable for the actor.

The film was set to be their third collaboration after 2001’s Nandha and 2003’s Pithamagan. Arun Vijay was cast as the lead of the film after Suriya backed out.
