This EV maker announces huge Rs 18K discount

Electric vehicle maker Okaya EV has announced a huge price cut for all its electric vehicle models. The discounts, which amount to up to INR 18,000, will be valid until February 29, 2024. This move aims to make electric vehicles more affordable and accelerate their adoption in India.

Okaya’s electric scooter models now start at INR 74,899, with a range of 75 km per charge. The Faast F4 model, which offers a range of 140 to 160 km per charge, is now available at INR 1,19,990, down from INR 1,37,990. This model is equipped with two batteries, providing a total output of 4.4 kWh, the highest battery capacity in the industry.

In a media release, the company highlighted that Okaya Electric Scooters are ICAT-certified under AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 2. This certification ensures that every ride is safer with robust IP67 waterproof and dust-resistant electric scooters.

Anshul Gupta, the Managing Director of Okaya EV, expressed the company’s motivation behind the price reduction, stating, “We have significantly lowered the prices across the entire range to strengthen affordability. This strategic move aims to alleviate any concerns customers may have regarding EV pricing, ultimately accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India. We are confident that this initiative will propel EV adoption forward and enable us to achieve significant milestones in the near future.”

Here are the current prices, valid until February 29, 2024:

– Faast F4: Now available at a reduced price of INR 1,19,990 (ex-showroom), previously priced at INR 1,37,990.

– Faast F3: Priced at INR 1,09,990 (ex-showroom), down from INR 1,24,990.

– Motofaast: Priced now at INR 1,28,999 (ex-showroom), down from INR 1,41,999.

– Faast F2F: Priced at INR 83,999 (ex-showroom), down from INR 93,999.

– Faast F2B: Available at INR 93,950 (ex-showroom), down from INR 1,02,950.

– Faast F2T: Now available at INR 92,900 (ex-showroom).

Additionally, the Freedum slow-speed model is now available at a discounted price of INR 74,899, according to the release.
