Suriya announces his next with Karthik Subbaraj, shares poster

Tamil superstar Suriya is officially collaborating with ‘Jigarthanda Double X’ director Karthik Subbaraj for his 44th film. Tentatively titled ‘Suriya 44’, the film is co-produced by Subbaraj under his banner Stone Bench Films, along with Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.Â

On Thursday, March 28, the makers and Suriya released the first-look poster of ‘Suriya 44’. Featuring a car crash and an arrow pierced through a tree, the poster showcases the tagline ‘Love Laughter War’. Alongside the poster, Suriya captioned, “New beginnings. Need all your good wishes (sic).”Â

Karthik Subbaraj, who also shared the same poster on his X handle, wrote, “My Next Film is with the Ever-Awesome @Suriya_offl sir. So pumped up for this #Suriya44 (sic).”

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Suriya is awaiting the release of his pan-India film, ‘Kanguva’. The gory period drama is directed by Siruthai Siva and is touted to be an ambitious fantasy action, which has been produced on a massive budget of over Rs 300 crore.

The film also marks the South debut of Bobby Deol. Alongside Suriya and Bobby, it also features Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Marimuthu, Deepa Venkat, Ravi Raghavendra and KS Ravikumar in supporting roles.
