Sen lost 19-21, 15-21 to top seed Shi Yu Qi of China. Kidambi Srikanth lost to second seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia 14-21, 13-21.
Treesa-Gayatri faltered against fourth seeded Chinese pair of Liu Sheng and Tan Ning 2-21, 11-21.
Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto got a walkover in the first round.
