sky’s the limit: uttar pradesh tops charts with highest number of airports
In recent years, Uttar Pradesh has become a land of opportunities, attracting major industrialists to establish their industrial units in the state. The state government is also offering various facilities to support small and medium industries. The demand for efficient transportation has increased significantly with the rise in industrial activities. Air transportation is unparalleled in terms of speed, making it crucial for ensuring easy access to different parts of the state. Consequently, airports are being constructed at a rapid pace across Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh boasts a total of 10 airports
Yogi-Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is revolutionizing air transport in India with its ambitious plan to establish airports in every corner of the state. Presently, Uttar Pradesh boasts a total of 10 airports, the highest number in the country. These airports are not only serving the people of Uttar Pradesh but also acting as gateways for investment and tourism from across the nation and the globe.
In addition to its industrial growth, Uttar Pradesh has significant importance in religious tourism. The state is home to several key pilgrimage sites, including Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, the city of Varanasi (Kashi) associated with Lord Shiva, and Kushinagar, a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Lucknow, the state capital, not only serves as a hub of political activity but also boasts a rich historical heritage. - Lucknow – Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport
- Varanasi – Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport
- Ayodhya – Maharishi Valmiki International Airport
- Kushinagar – Kushinagar International Airport
