3.2-3-0-7: 17-year-old Indonesia bowler’s unreal spell shatters T20I records

Indonesian bowler Rohmalia Rohmalia made history after recording the best bowling figures in the history of T20Is. At the age of 17, the right-arm off-spinner bowler finished with incredible figures of 3.2-3-0-7 against Mongolia in the fifth T20I of the 5-match series at the Udayana Cricket Ground. The teenage sensation broke the record of the Netherlands’ Frederique Overdijk, who had figures of 4-2-3-7 against France during a match in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Region Qualifier at the La Manga Club Top Ground in 2021.

Rohmalia also became only the fourth bowler in the history of T20Is to pick up a 7-wicket in T20Is after Overdijk, Argentina Women’s Alison Stocks, Malaysia’s Syazrul Ezat Idrus. Interestingly, Rohmalia also happened to make her debut in international cricket in the same match. Rohmalia also broke the record for the best figures on T20I debut, going past Anjali Chand’s spell of 2.1-2-0-6 for Nepal against Maldives back in 2019.
