Der Präsident des serbischen Teils von Bosnien-Herzegowina, Milorad Dodik, will der staatlichen Wahlkommission in der Hauptstadt Sarajevo die Zuständigkeit für die Wahlen in seinem Landesteil entziehen. Das Parlament der teilweise autonomen Republika Srpska werde für die Teilrepublikswahlen und die Kommunalwahlen ein eigenes Wahlgesetz schaffen, kündigte Dodik am Mittwoch in der Verwaltungshauptstadt Banja Luka an.

Seit dem Krieg von 1992 bis 1995 ist Bosnien-Herzegowina in teilautonome Einheiten, die bosnisch-kroatische Föderation (FBiH) und die Republika Srpska (RS), unterteilt. Die Vertretung nach außen, Währungspolitik, Grenzschutz, Armee und andere Funktionen nehmen gesamtstaatliche Institutionen wahr. Mit dem Friedensabkommen von Dayton (1996) hat die internationale Gemeinschaft eine Garantie für diese staatliche Ordnung übernommen.

Unterstützung aus Serbien, Ungarn und Russland

Als serbischer Nationalist versucht Dodik seit Jahren, die Republika Srpska schrittweise aus dem bosnischen Staatsverband herauszulösen. Die politischen Führungen in Serbien, Ungarn und Russland unterstützen ihn dabei. In der Republika Srpska regiert Dodik Kritikern zufolge mit autoritären Methoden.

Das neue Wahlgesetz der Republika Srpska werde das Parlament im Eilverfahren beschließen, sagte Dodik am Mittwoch. „Wir bringen den Wahlprozess auf der RS-Ebene dorthin, wo er hingehört“, zitierten ihn Medien. Für die Abhaltung der Wahlen zum Republika Srpska-Parlament und der Kommunalwahlen in der Republika Srpska werde dann ausschließlich die Republikswahlkommission der Republika Srpska zuständig sein. An der Zuständigkeit der staatlichen Wahlkommission in Sarajevo für die gesamtstaatlichen Präsidentschafts- und Parlamentswahlen werde sich hingegen nichts ändern, sagte Dodik. (APA)
