Ridhima Pandit determines finding quality roles, rejects regressive work
Actress Ridhima Pandit is set to make her mark in the Telugu film industry with the upcoming movie ‘ARI’ (My Name is Nobody), under the direction of Jayashankarr. She recently spoke up about her career choices and debut in the lively Telugu film industry.
In a recent conversation with HT, expressing her optimism for the year ahead, Ridhima declared 2024 as her time to shine, citing several exciting projects she had lined up with herself. Ridhima described her career path as one of continual flow, always ready to adapt and welcome new chances, from her beginnings in theatre to the corporate world and eventually modelling and acting.
Ridhima emphasised her commitment to important parts and her cautious approach to television programmes, choosing only those that fit her sensibility. She rejected the concept of regressive content and emphasised the significance of keeping loyal to oneself and fighting through hurdles in order to produce high-quality work.
Regarding her entry into Telugu cinema, Ridhima acknowledged the industry’s global impact and her eagerness to establish herself there. Despite the challenges of the language barrier and unfamiliarity with the industry, Ridhima stated her intention to win a spot in the Telugu cinema. Her casting in ARI (My Name is Nobody) was a fortunate coincidence, with Jayashankarr’s wife recognising her abilities and suitability for the character. Expressing more about her preparation for the role, Ridhima revealed her diligent efforts to master the Telugu language, ensuring accurate pronunciation and delivery of dialogues.
Ridhima’s rise due to her notable performance and television success with shows like ‘Bahu Hamari Rajnikant’ and the reality television show ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ has also given her the path to explore new roles in the entertainment business.
