Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Tamil Nadu on Monday, shared an account of his special interaction with a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karyakarta at the Chennai airport. In his message, the prime minister said that he was moved by his love and dedication to the party.

Sharing the experience on X, PM Modi told his followers about his interaction with a party worker Aswanth Pijai who informed him that his wife gave birth to twins today, but instead of meeting the newborns, he had chosen to welcome the Prime Minister at the airport upon his arrival.

“A very special interaction! At Chennai airport, one of our Karyakartas, Shri Aswanth Pijai Ji was there to welcome me. He told me that his wife had just given birth to twins but he hadn’t met them yet. I told him he shouldn’t have come here and also conveyed my blessings to him and his family,” PM Modi wrote on X.

“It is heartening to see that our party has such dedicated and devoted Karyakartas. Seeing such love and affection of our karyakartas makes me emotional,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on ‘Bharat Darshan’ for nine days from Monday (March 4), during which he will visit at least 10 states and the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir by March 12.

This 9-day trip began ahead of the much-anticipated Lok Sabha elections announcement by the Election Commission.

During his visit to Tamil Nadu, the prime minister visited a nuclear power plant where a key procedure regarding power generation commenced.

The commencement of ‘core loading’ of the country’s indigenous Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam, located about 60 km from Chennai happened in the presence of the PM.

Prime Minister Modi also addressed public meetings in Tamil Nadu which reverberated with the slogan ‘Namadu Kudumbam, Modi Kudumbam’ (Our family is Modi’s family), as saffron party members chanted it in response to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s taunt at the PM.
