Dheekshith Shetty is in Vagamon and is busy with the filming of Oppees, his debut Malayalam film. The actor who has fast made a name for himself in Kannada and Telugu, is thrilled that he’s checked off yet another industry on his career wish list and at a time when Malayalam cinema is thriving.

Talking about his upcoming role, Dheekshith says it was important that his debut dealt with a subject that he resonated with. “I play Sunny, a boy who lives abroad and is lost in the past. A chance encounter with a stranger reveals certain aspects about his life which then leads him to his birthplace, Kerala. The proceedings then on is what left me riveted and made me fall in love with the story and I felt I wouldn’t find anything better to enter Malayalam cinema,” he says
