The Nothing Phone 2a was recently launched in India and it seems that the company is now preparing to announce its Phone (3) smartphone. The upcoming device has been spotted in the company’s database with A015 model number, which Android Headlines says belongs to the next-gen Phone 3 version. While the Nothing Phone 2a was targeted towards mid-range phone buyers, the new version will be more of a premium offering.Â

If leaks are to be believed, the next Nothing phone will arrive in July this year. As of now, the company hasn’t confirmed the launch date or existence of the Nothing Phone 3. To recall, the Nothing Phone 2 was announced last year in July last year. This also suggests that the Phone 2 could actually make it around the same time this year. It is good to see the company taking its own sweet time to improve its phones rather than launching a lot of phones every month.

The Nothing Phone 3 is so far claimed to pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The other specs are currently unknown, but the new version is expected to pack a massive display and a bigger battery under the hood with faster charging support. The current Phone 2 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a sizable 4,700mAh battery with 45W wired charging support, a vibrant 6.7-inch full-HD+ LTPO OLED display, and impressive camera capabilities including a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Nothing Phone 2 was priced competitively, with the base model starting at Rs 44,999 for the 8GB + 128GB option. The 12GB + 256GB was made available at Rs 49,999 and 12GB + 512GB at Rs 54,999. There are high chances that the next-gen mid-range premium phone from Nothing could be priced in a similar price range.

So, its new successor – Nothing Phone 3 – is also expected to be priced under Rs 50,000 segment. Nothing isn’t expected to increase the price by a very big margin because it is still a relatively new brand and it will likely maintain a good balance between price and features.Â
