Noida doctor reacts to IIT aspirant’s gruelling schedule: ‘There is no shortcut’

Recently a photo of an IIT aspirant’s schedule to try and crack the entrance exam went viral on social media for some of the revelations made in the image that included a total of 4.5 hours of continuous sleep and spending the rest of the mornings and evenings attending classes and doing classwork.

A Noida-based doctor recently reacted to a social media post with the image and said that he and his brother followed a similar schedule when they were younger and while he got admission at one of the best government medical colleges, his brother got a seat at IIT Delhi and was now living in the United States.

“Me and my brother almost followed the same routine for 3 years , I got one of the best govt medical college and he got a good branch @ IIT Delhi, now settled in US . Telling you there is no shortcut,” Dr. Shraddhey Katiyar wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The doctor’s post saw a lot of reactions from users, who agreed with the doctor about not taking any shortcuts to success.

“Almost everything that you want to achieve requires grit of iron, sustained efforts. Might sound repetitive or boring but that makes you stand apart from the rest. That makes you one whom the rest will look up to in times to come,” one user wrote.

“Indeed demonstrate discipline and commitment and were destined to succeed. Kudos,” another user wrote.

“Absolutely no shortcut. I have still kept my schedule of study for 6 months before my CA final. Pushing myself to 18hrs a day study and finding variance in each hour of scheduled study ..I cleared at the first attempt at 21 years of age,” a third user wrote.
