Aaron Finch, Ian Bishop and Irfan Pathan led the way with praise for MS Dhoni after the CSK star’s blitz against LSG in Lucknow on April 19. Dhoni provided another entertaining knock for the packed crowd at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow to power CSK to 176 against LSG. Dhoni came in to bat when Chennai were struggling a bit for momentum and he provided the late impetus.Â

Dhoni scored 28 off 9 balls as he also hit Yash Thakur for 101 metre six in the final over of the innings to send the crowd into raptures. The CSK star’s running between the wickets was also top notch as he would have a strike-rate of 311.11 by the end of the innings and remained unbeaten yet again. Dhoni’s innings consisted of 3 boundaries and 2 sixes.Â

Finch was on commentary when Dhoni had hit the 101 metre six and said that Dhoni might be 42, but he was playing like he is 22. Finch also called it unbelievable striking from Dhoni.Â

“How many times have we seen that swing over the years around the wicket, straight into his arc, the form that he’s in? He might be 42 but he’s playing like he’s 22. It’s unbelievable striking,” said Finch.Â

Ian Bishop took to X to praise Dhoni and hailed him as a ‘true legend’ in his tweet.Â

Pathan would chime in and say that playing 2-3 hours of paddle has helped Dhoni’s fitness this season.Â

Dhoni had come into bat with CSK at 141 with just two overs remaining and ensured they posted a challenging total for LSG.Â
