piyush goyal’s one-point question from india bloc modi vs ? question mark times now summit 2024
New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal took a jibe at the 26-member INDIA bloc, saying the Opposition must first choose their leader and decide who would be the face against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dismissing the Opposition’s unity, the union minister said “kaun hai vipaksh”, “Modi versus whom?” Goyal, who was one of the key speakers at Times Now Summit 2024, said that the Opposition should first declare who is the alternative to PM Modi and can do “half or even quarter” of work that the PM has done.
Goyal, speaking to Times Network’s Group Editor-in-chief Navika Kumar at TN Summit, on Thursday said that the battle of 2024 so far is “PM Modi banam question mark (PM Modi vs ?).” “Kerala me gali denge, Bengal me saath ladenge (will abuse in Kerala and fight together in Bengal),” he said while taking a veiled jibe at Congress and Left alliance under the INDIA bloc.
Further lashing out at the Opposition, the Minister of Commerce and Industry said that “hamein to chinta ho rahi hai ki koi rahega nahi to hum ladenge kiske saamne (we are worried that if there would be no one in front us, against whom will we fight the polls).”
On his Lok Sabha candidature from Mumbai North seat, Goyal said that it is nothing new for him. “It is like from helping others fight elections to doing that for yourself,” he said.
Notably, INDIA bloc consists of over 20 parties including Congress, TMC, AAP, SP, DMK, CPI(M), CPI, IUML, NCP (SP), Shiv Sena (UBT), RJD, AIFB, JKNC, KC(M), PDP, MDMK and MNM among others.
Whereas the NDA consists of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), NCP (Ajit Pawar), RLJP (Pashupati Kumar Paras), AIADMK, Apna Dal (Soneylal), NPP, NDPP, AIJSU, SKM,MNF,IPFT, Naga People’s Front, Nagaland, RPI (Athawale), SAD (Sanyukt) and SBSP among others.
Goyal Says Youth Believe ‘Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai’
Commending PM Modi’s leadership, Piyush Goyal said that he played Holi with youth after a long time and he did not give a speech to them rather when he said ‘Modi Hai…’ the crowd chanted “Mumkin Hai…”.
“I would say ‘Abki Baar’, the youth crowd would say ‘Modi Sarkaar’, when I would say ‘Jai Shree Ram’, they would raise their hands and with double gusto repeat the same,” the minister said.
He said that people of the country trust PM Narendra Modi and believe “ki Modi k under guarantee poori hone ki guarantee hai”.
Times Network has organised the fourth two-day edition of the Times Now Summit with the theme for 2024 ‘India Unstoppable’ inviting leaders of different arenas who spoke at length on issues of national, economic importance vital in making India unstoppable.
