Yashasvi Jaiswal roared back to form on Monday (April 22) during the IPL 2024 match played between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The 22-year-old left-handed batter top-scored for the Sanju Samson-led side by remaining unbeaten on 104 runs from 60 balls. During his stay at the crease, the star batter hammered nine fours and seven sixes. Thanks to his superb show with the bat, RR managed to chase down the target of 180 runs in 18.4 overs for the loss of one wicket.
Jaiswal completed his second century in the IPL against the Mumbai Indians with a single on the first ball of the 19th over and then scored the winning runs on the fourth ball. After Jaiswal sealed the deal for RR, Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was seen hugging the star batter for his superb display with the bat.
The video of Rohit congratulating Jaiswal for his batting performance against the Mumbai Indians is going viral on the internet.

Watch: Rohit Sharma hugs Yashasvi Jaiswal after the Rajasthan Royals beat Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in the IPL 2024 match
Jaiswal, who scored 625 runs in IPL 2023, was horribly out of form in the cash-rich league this year and was in danger of missing out on a place in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad as well. But with his knock against the Mumbai Indians, the star batter has not only silenced his critics but has also helped the Royals secure their seventh win in IPL 2024.
With 14 points from eight matches played so far, the Men in Pink sit at the No. 1 position in the IPL 2024 points table and are almost certain to qualify for the playoffs.
