From Agri-tech to Semi conductors; What Are Deloitte’s Big Sectoral Bets? Romal Shetty Exclusive

Rumble tennis, more about the India strategy because clearly there’s a lot of focus in India and you are very bullish on India, so. Have have you tweaked your strategy in the last few years in terms of your hiring, in terms of your expansion plans? What’s brewing over there, Sadhguru? So India is the fastest growing Deloitte member firm in the world, right? So we’re growing at over 3035% year on year and we’ve been growing at close to 4045% in the previous 4-5 years. So we continue that momentum. We’re hiring about. 1000 people for the India operations every month we hire another 3-2 to 3000 people for the global operations every month. So we are significant, you know, in terms of growth. The India strategy has also tweaked because in the past, right, we’ve been now we’re focusing on some new sectors for example like semiconductor, like like space, right. And we’ve been involved in some of these as well. But we’re also getting into as high end semiconductor in space to to more to say how do we do Agri tech. So for example, we’re working with the UP government to help them move from a 240 billion economy to a $1 trillion economy. So it’s about everything to say how do we get you know better. What sector should we focus on what, for example? Where should be the investments coming in? How do you woo investors? How do you do ease of doing business right. If you improve productivity for example in Agri even by 510% Indias productivity in terms of agree would not be even in the in the global benchmarks, even if you bring 10% in up itself, we can drive a significant people out of poverty levels, absolutely.
