ipl 2024: kuldeep yadav grabs rishabh pant’s hand; forces dc skipper to take drs; dismisses jos buttler – watch
After being one of the key reasons behind India’s 4-1 series victory over England, star Indian wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has continued his red-hot form in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), where he is playing for the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC).
Kuldeep got the big wicket from Jos Buttler in the ongoing clash between DC and Rajasthan Royals (RR) taking place at the Sawai Mansigh Stadium in Jaipur. Buttler is widely regarded among the best white-ball batters in the world, and Kuldeep got the big wicket for DC to put the Delhi-based outfit on top of the game after Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first.
However, Kuldeep had to work hard to get the wicket despite trapping Buttler in front of the stumps. Buttler attempted a reverse sweep on the 29-year-old bowl but missed the ball. However, the on-field umpire declared it not out.

Talking about the match, RR put up a score of 185 on the board despite losing their first three wickets for just 36 runs after Buttler’s dismissal in the eight over. Ravichandran Ashwin’s surprise promotion to number five proved a mastestroke as the veteran Indian cricketer changed the momentum of the innings with a 19-ball 29. Dhurv Jurel (20 in 12) and Shimron Hetmyer (14 in 7) played vital cameos, but it was Riyan Parag who was the star of the show, with a stunning knock of 84 in just 45 balls.
Parag smashed seven boundaries and six sixes in what was the highest score of his IPL career. Parag is playing the 100th T20 game of his career in what is his 56th game for RR in the world’s richest cricket league.
