Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ to release on OTT on April 26

Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is all set for its OTT release. The comedy drama directed by Kiran Rao, will start streaming on Netflix from April 26.Â

Written by Sneha Desai and produced by Aamir Khan, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is based on a novella by Biplab Goswami. It was released in theatres on March 1 and was received warmly by the audience.Â

The official Instagram handle of Netflix India shared the announcement on April 25. “TAAZA KHABAR: Laapataa Ladies mil chuki hai! 🤩 #LaapataaLadies, starts streaming at midnight, on Netflix,” read the caption.Â

‘Laapataa Ladies’ is a 2023 film about two brides who accidentally get separated on a train in rural India in 2001. The film follows the search for the actual bride, the journey of the bride who ends up at the wrong station, and the true intentions of the woman who ends up in the wrong village.Â

‘Laapataa Ladies’ is helmed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film, features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava along with Ravi Kishan. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues crafted by Divyanidhi Sharma.Â
