‘Kanguva’ teaser out: Suriya-Bobby Deol battle it out in Siruthai Siva’s film

On March 19, the makers of ‘Kanguva’ released the much-awaited teaser of the film. Earlier, the film was supposed to release in theatres in April 2024. However, it has now been postponed due to the forthcoming elections. The makers are now gearing up for a grand release later this year in 3D and IMAX formats.Â

‘Kanguva’ is directed by Siruthai Siva. Sharing the YouTube link to the film’s teaser, Suriya wrote, “A glimpse of Kanguva guys…! (sic).”

The teaser gives a glimpse of the gory period drama where viewers can witness an epic clash between Suriya and Bobby Deol’s characters. Going by the video, it seems that the moviegoers will be glued to their seats throughout while watching this action-entertainer on the big screens.Â

The film marks the South debut of Bobby Deol, who is basking in the success of Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. While Suriya plays the role of Kanguva alias Kangaa, Bobby Deol will be seen as Udhiran in the big-budget film, which is slated to release in 10 languages.Â

Director Siruthai Siva’s ‘Kanguva’ is an ambitious fantasy action, which has been produced on a massive budget of over Rs 300 crore.Â

Apart from Suriya and Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Marimuthu, Deepa Venkat, Ravi Raghavendra and KS Ravikumar will be seen in supporting roles.Â

Jointly produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, the film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and editing by Nishadh Yusuf.Â
