'Is Chengicherla in Pakistan?' BJP slams Congress on Telangana MLA's house arrest

BJP MLA T Raja Singh on Thursday claimed that he was put under house arrest while he was en route to Telangana’s Chengicherla to visit some people who were allegedly attacked by a group during Holi celebrations. Condemning his house arrest, BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar took a dig at the Congress-led state government and asked “Is Chengicherla in Pakistan?”.

Besides, Bandi Sanjay Kumar claimed that a case was filed against him and other BJP workers for visiting Chengicherla and meeting “Hindu victims”.Â

Condemning T Raja Singh’s house arrest, Bandi Sanjay Kumar wrote on X, “Anyone who tried to stop him has only seen a downfall.  If not today, he will go tomorrow or someday. How many days will you stop him.? Is Chengicherla in Pakistan.? (sic)”.

He also lashed out at the Congress-led Telangana government and said the party stops Hindus and files cases against them. “Congress govt in Telangana will stop Hindus, file cases against Hindus, obstruct leaders visiting victims & not act on Rohingya mafia. We have seen checkposts to protect poor but weird Congress that checkposts are setup to obstruct leaders from visiting poor,” he said in a tweet.

He also urged the Congress government to withdraw all cases filed against BJP leaders in Telangana.Â
