IPL 2024 format, schedule, captains, venues, match timings: The 2024 season of Indian Premier League 2024 will kickstart on March 22 with a match between CSK and RCB in Chennai’s Chepauk. The schedule for the first 21 matches of the IPL has been unveiled, extending until April 7, with the remaining fixtures pending release. IPL organizers are anticipated to disclose the dates for the remaining matches in the coming days. Daytime matches are scheduled to commence at 3:30pm IST, while evening fixtures will kick off at 7:30pm IST.

IPL 2024 Format explained: In IPL 2024, the league format will see all 10 teams competing against each other twice, reinstating the round-robin format. At the conclusion of league stage, the top two teams in the points standings will advance to Qualifier 1, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will contest in the Eliminator.
The winner of Qualifier 1 will secure a spot in IPL 2024 Final, while the losing team will face the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2. The victorious team in the Eliminator will then become the second team to qualify for IPL 2024 final.
