First Single From Raayan To Be Out Soon: Actor-director Dhanush

Dhanush, the prolific actor of Tamil cinema, is gearing up for an eventful year ahead with multiple film projects in the pipeline. Among his upcoming ventures, Raayan holds special significance as it marks his milestone 50th film as an actor and his second directorial endeavour.

Although fans anticipated the unveiling of the teaser for Raayan on Tamil New Year’s Day, they were left disappointed as the makers postponed the release. However, Dhanush took to social media to reassure his fans and announced that the first single track from the film would be released soon. The music for Raayan is composed by none other than the legendary AR Rahman, and the first single is anticipated to be a romantic melody.

To celebrate Tamil New Year, Dhanush shared a new poster of Raayan, showcasing himself alongside his co-stars Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, and the debutante female lead Dushara Vijayan. This poster provides the first glimpse of Dushara Vijayan’s character, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.

Raayan is described as a gangster drama set in the backdrop of north Chennai, with Dhanush, Kalidas Jayaram, and Sundeep Kishan portraying brothers. The ensemble cast also includes SJ Suryah, Nithya Menen, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and Saravanan in pivotal roles. The film is slated for release in June this year.

Previously, in February, the makers unveiled an intriguing poster offering a glimpse into the intense narrative of Raayan. Dhanush, donning an apron, exuded intensity in his character portrayal. The film promises to be a gripping revenge drama and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.

Having wrapped up its shooting in December last year, Raayan is currently undergoing post-production work. Dhanush commenced filming for this project in July last year. The film was officially announced with a striking poster featuring the actor sporting a clean-shaven head, hinting at his character’s transformative journey.
