Inflation and growth are the primary concerns among voters of eastern India, a survey conducted by Times Now and ETG Research has shown.
Among the key findings of the survey, inflation emerged as the most significant concern, with 22% of respondents citing it as their primary worry. Growth closely followed, with 21% of participants expressing apprehension about the scope and pace of development in the region. Hindutva also ranked high on the list, with 18% of respondents highlighting it as a crucial issue.
Unemployment seems to be a major concern in eastern India, with 15% of respondents citing it as a key deciding factor when casting their vote.
While nationalism garnered 12% of responses, corruption and polarization were identified as lesser concerns, each accounting for 5% of responses.
The survey’s results underscore that the electorate in Eastern India appears to be deeply invested in the issues that directly impact their lives and communities: from economic stability and employment opportunities to concerns about national identity and communal harmony.
