Glenn Maxwell has truly established his reputation as a hard-hitter and a record-breaker. Especially in Wankhede, where Maxwell is bound to have fond memories attached to, especially after his match-winning knock of 201* for Australia in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

The Aussie all-rounder would have expected to achieve more of the same today, but one would agree that perhaps the RCB batter wouldn’t be pleased to learn of the record he equaled today with his duck against the Mumbai Indians.

With his duck today though, Maxwell joins an exclusive list of players, with the likes of Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik, as the players with the most ducks in the IPL, with all three having 17 ducks under their name.

After a precautious start, which saw talisman Virat Kohli fall for a mere 3 runs, and debutant Jack Wills as well be dismissed for a meagre 8 runs, it was Maxwell’s turn to take to the crease to help aid RCB to a competitive total.

But, it would all go too wrong once again as Maxwell would go on to completely mistime a wrong’un from MI spinner Shreyas Gopal, as the ball rolled onto his pads and he was sent back to the pavilion for a duck.

Unfortunately for RCB though, this is not a one-tie occurrence. Maxwell has been struggling to get going in this edition of the IPL, having posted just a mere 32 runs in 6 innings for the Bengaluru side, with having been dismissed for a duck thrice as of today.
