Hoda Kotb enjoys Rolling Stones concert — with Mick Jagger's son
OK, but it’s not even just today’s day. Thursday was also Thursday was my day. You know, the days that you’re flowing. I was flowing. So Thursday I took off work Friday because I had a meeting in New Orleans. So Karen said come to the stones Thursday night. I said, how am I going to make it? It’s going to be impossible to make. You can make it. There was a 145 flight out of New York to New Orleans. I had a luncheon, which was amazing. I got to the airport and I hit the we we drove like crazy. Made the flight moments before takeoff by the hair. I’m talking about it was almost too late. Yes. But I was I had I kept you know when your manifesto got back I’m making this flight. I’m I’m. I wasn’t like I’m not going to make it. I’m not I’m making it. I’m making it. Pulled up. They were like, you just made it. And I’m talking about you know the stink eye that everybody on the plane gave me. Did you get one? They were like, hey, you know because they’re about to go. They locked the door middle seat take off land in New Orleans. Yes. Yes, 345 landing. The Stones are doing a matinee concert. That’s what they do at Jazz Fest. It’s like 4 to 6 or 8, four, whatever. It’s whenever it started around. Then I go to the airport bathroom, put on my Amazon shorts that I love, an old ratty black tank. The bra that you’ve seen, that’s horrible. And I put up. I noticed it in some of the pictures bolted to the Jazz Fest and Karen was waiting with the Pina Colada and the Stones were playing, wait. And then there’s one other thing that happened, because everything good was happening. We didn’t have. We had a ticket to get in the fast, and we’re just wandering around and so we are wandering up and you can’t get near. It’s like thousands of people with stones. Like, forget it, forget it. We are wandering up and some guy goes, oh, you know, do you want to? Can you see? I go. I can’t. We can see. OK. Anyway, I look at the kid, he looks familiar, but I don’t know him. How would I know him? But his lips look familiar. I was like, those look like lips that I’ve seen before. That kid, if I’m right, is Lucas, the son of Mick Jagger. Is that the craziest thing in the world? I he was like, hey, I was like, I kept looking at him. I was like he nicely. He said there’s A and then you walk here and we were all still jammed in but it was amazing. So Lucas and look at him 80 whatever years old rocking it was it great? It was crazy. Someone next to me said he’s 80. Whatever. I said what’s his workout And somebody around there works for them and they go he runs 10 miles a day. Wait what? 10 miles per day? He does yoga. He does this guy. It just shows you that the human body worked right. Can because think about all the. Yeah. So think about his rock’n’roll lifestyle. Yes. But they said he’s always been an exercise guy. Exercise is kind of is that crazy? He was he the one who inspired you to get up this morning? I think he kind of did because I googled what is he eating? How is he working at, you know, you do that on the plane right now. It’s like, what’s he doing? And apparently his dad was like some workout fiend when he was little, so he he learned about that since he was young and has always been a workout. Well, I think you’re on a whole new schedule and can I just say one more quick shout out? Yes. Sorry, this is all about me. No, I’m enjoying that. My mom came over to our house yesterday and made her world famous, Best Busa with my kids and there she is. We were cooking, we were baking, and I just want to say it’s a big deal in our family that that happened. So I’m excited. So here’s the best Busa day. OK, wait, I just not. First of all I’m. I’m inspired. I don’t know what I’m going to do today something, but it’s going to be today’s the day. It’s going to be good because look at everything you just did. Yeah. And I actually ate a carrot before I came here. Usually I’m scarfing down. That’s true. She usually see me. Her first food is usually a chip. Well first of all I just realized that I do it in the makeup room and everyone stares at me and I just inhale and that now I understand that I you share. It’s not like you hoard. I know I don’t hoard but I eat a lot sharing. But I’m proud of you. You’re really on a healthcare?
