Olly Murs shows off his ripped physique as his intense boxing workouts with veteran coach Dave Coldwell are revealed
If you are interested in savouring Olly Murs's greatest hits, you'd be better off doing it outside of the boxing ring.
The singer-songwriter, 40, has taken up the sport and shared his pride at having learned the craft from scratch.
He has trained with veteran boxing coach Dave Coldwell, who revealed his surprise at the star's power and ability during a four-day training stint.
Murs breezed into Coldwell's Rotherham gym to retain his sharp physique while in Sheffield and Leeds for shows supporting Take That.
'We had a great few days in the gym with Olly,' Dave said. 'He can sing, dance, work on TV and play football and it turns out he can box a bit too...it makes you sick!

'The man can punch! He swapped the dancing shoes and mic for boxing boots and gloves in between supporting Take That on their tour. The boy done good.'
Meanwhile last week, Olly met with iconic boxer Ricky Hatton for a sparring session and shared a hilarious clip of the pair training - before the singer gets wiped out.
'Ricky "Hit me" Hatton,' the clip was captioned, which showed Olly land some punches on Ricky's pads before the professional takes a final huge blow sending the X Factor star to the ground.
Olly, who is married to bodybuilder Amelia, 31, took to Instagram in April to speak about his boxing journey.
He wrote: 'I don't normally post anything boxing related but after 18 months of doing it and learning the basics I genuinely watched a video [of himself training] and for the first time liked what I saw.
'It's been a hard slog! So f*** it, I'm posting it! Learning to box from scratch is hard work.
'I've been consistent and Amelia will tell you all "I'm one of those guys now" everywhere I go I'm shadow boxing trying to improve!'
Olly gave a 'big shout out' to his friend Commonwealth Super Welterweight champ Sam Gilley, RJs boxing gym and ex-Team GB boxer Harvey Horn for helping him through his journey.

He went on to gush over training with Dave, saying: '[It] has been nothing short of awesome!
'Learnt so much from him and I've got plenty to work on (I'll be back to see ya). But If you're thinking of going into any combat sport, take it seriously, be patient, be consistent and you will see results.'

The star, who comes from a semi-professional football background, said he now has a '100 per cent the buzz for boxing, I love it.' Sparring and punching the heavy bags relieves him of stress, he said.
The singer rewarded coach Dave and his family with tickets for his gig in Sheffield. Dave described it as a 'brilliant night out.'
It comes after Olly celebrated his 40th birthday on Tuesday and paid a special tribute to his newborn daughter Madison on the milestone occasion.
The singer shared an adorable picture of himself cradling and kissing the one-month old baby, and admitted: 'The only gift I wanted for my 40th was to be daddy and here you are xx love you Madi.'

Olly and the nineties favourites performed at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on Tuesday, and when he joined the backstage earlier he found a pleasing surprise.
The red velvet sponge cake measured nearly a metre in length and contained a whopping two kilograms of cherries in kirsch liqueur, three kilograms of ganache and eight kilograms of buttercream.
The gigantic surprise item arrived encased in a custom box which featured the slogan 'Turning 40? Piece of Cake' and inside wished Olly a 'Happy Sausagey Beany 40th birthday', complete with a bow on top.
Furthermore, Greggs created hidden drawers in the bespoke cake box containing 12 freshly baked Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melts ready to share amongst the crew and backstage guests - as the star is a big fan of the 'real deal'.
