sakshi tanwar ‘haven’t even been approached for the part!’ another lie about ramayana casting demolished | exclusive

If Valmiki was still around he would be happy to write another Ramayana about innumerable rumours and lies being spread about director Nitesh Tiwari’s proposed adaptation of the Ramayana.

The latest lie about the casting of the Ramayana concerns Ravana’s wife. While Ravana is reportedly being played by KGF star Yash (no confirmation on this from the actor or the producers), a new “news” report doing the rounds insists that Sakshi Tanwar is playing Ravana’s wife.

Further to that, reports also insisted that Yash’s fans are upset about this, as the unfathomably talented Sakshi Tanwar did not measure up to Yash’s stardom.

I touched base with Sakshi. Her response was, “I haven’t even been approached for the part.”

Hope this kills one more outrageous rumour about the casting in Ramayana.

Until the next one pops up.

About Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

Let’s just start by saying that there is no confirmation about the casting of any of the actors in any of the roles in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Everything so far has been based on media reports. The most plausible casting is that of Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram. Yet, there is no confirmation from the makers of the actor. Next up is the casting of Sai Pallavi as Sita Mata, Yash as Ravana, TV actor Ravi Dubey as Lakhshman, TV actress Sakshi Tanwar as Ravana’s wife, Mandodari, and now, actor Adinath Kothare as Bharat. Apart from these, reports suggest that Lara Dutta has been roped in to play Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet has been selected to play Shrupnakha, and Sunny Deol will be seen as Lord Hanuman.

Again, neither of these reports are confirmed and there is no official announcement from the makers.
