Gurugram woman Suman Yadav bags 170th rank in UPSC exam 2024
In a remarkable feat of perseverance and dedication, Suman Yadav from Gurugram has secured the 170th rank in the highly competitive UPSC examination, proving the saying “Those who try never lose” true.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Examination on Tuesday, bringing forth tales of triumph and perseverance.
Suman Yadav, a 25-year-old resident of Sarai Alawardi village, fulfilled her long-cherished dream of cracking the UPSC exam by managing the feat on her second attempt. Her journey to success began after completing her BSc from Delhi University, where she resolved to pursue a career in civil services.
She has been preparing for the examination for the last three years. She studied till Class 12 in Gurugram itself.Â
For Suman, clearing the UPSC examination was not just a personal triumph but also a fulfillment of her parents’ dreams. With unwavering support from her family and a determination to succeed, Suman embarked on her UPSC journey while pursuing her education.

Suman’s father Balwan Singh Yadav says that this is a very happy moment for him because his daughter’s hard work has paid off.
