Google Pixel 9 leaked renders suggest three different sizes, all we know so far

Google’s Pixel 8 was termed the top smartphone of 2023 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in February this year. The Pixel 8 launched in 2023 and made headlines for features like 120Hz display, 50-megapixel camera, and up to 7 years of software updates. Barely months after its launch, details about its successor, the Google Pixel 9, have started surfacing already. As per latest renders of the Pixel 9 smartphone, it might sport a 6.03-inch display and come with rounded corners and a flat-screen.Â

Pixel 9 fresh renders leaked

Earlier this year, renders of the Pixel 9 series of phones were leaked by MySmartPrice. It was then reported that these renders were of Google Pixel 9 and Google Pixel 9 Pro.

However, a 91 Mobiles report now says that those renders were actually of the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 XL. Yes, you read that right. The XL variant of the Pixel phones will reportedly be making a comeback with the Google Pixel 9 series.Â

91 Mobiles also published fresh 5K renders of the vanilla Pixel 9 phone.Â

As per the renders shared by the publication, we might see a black colour of the Pixel 9, similar to the Pixel 9 Pro renders leaked ahead.Â

Coming to the design, the renders show that the Pixel 9 might come with rounded corners and a flat display, accentuated by a centre punch-hole selfie camera. Positioned on the right side of the flat frame could be the power button and volume keys, promising ease of use and accessibility. The Pixel 9, with a reported screen size of 6.03-inch, is said to offer a slightly smaller screen compared to the Pixel 9 Pro’s 6.1-inch display.

The Pixel 9 is reported to have dimensions of approximately 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, with a thickness of 12mm including the rear camera bump.Â

Pixel 9 rumours

Coming to rumours about the phone, it was earlier reported that the Pixel 9 might come with an adaptive touch. The new addition to Google’s flagship device promises to improve the user experience significantly. By automatically adjusting the touchscreen sensitivity based on various factors such as environmental conditions, user activities, and the presence of a screen protector, the Adaptive Touch could prove to be quite a useful feature.Â

In addition to this, there might be good news for all camera lovers. Rumours had previously suggested that the Pixel 9 could come with a telephoto lens, improving its photography capabilities even further. Google will also likely continue to focus on using AI to enhance its camera performance, in order to make sure that Pixel phones remain top contenders in the world of mobile photography.

To power the Pixel 9, Google is expected to equip it with the latest in-house Tensor G4 chip, succeeding the current G3 model. Initially, rumours hinted at a completely new custom chip, but recent reports indicate that these plans could be postponed until 2025, around the time the Pixel 10 comes out.Â

When it comes to software, the Pixel 9 is expected to run on the latest version of Android, the Android 15, promising a smooth and up-to-date experience for users. In addition to this, Google is expected to pack in even more AI features, including a new assistant called “Pixie” powered by Google’s Gemini AI chip.Â
