NEW DELHI: Led by chief minister Yogi Adityanath, cabinet ministers and members of the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly along with speaker Satish Mahana visited the recently-built Ram temple in Ayodhya on Sunday.
While the CM arrived Ayodhya airport around noon, the ministers and MLAs reached the temple town in luxury buses. A green corridor was created to ensure that there were no traffic bottlenecks during their journey.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, however, was not part of the group.
BJP workers have made elaborate arrangements to welcome the group in Lucknow, Barabanki and Ayodhya. The local administration enforced traffic diversions to regulate the movement of vehicles from neighbouring districts.
Transport minister Dayashankar Singh took special care to arrange a fleet of the best buses from his department.
