Ghilli’ re-release box office collection: Vijay’s film performs sufficiently on a working day
The movie “Ghilli,” starring Vijay and Trisha, came out in theaters in 2004 and was a huge success. It got released in theaters again on April 20, and many people went to see it. People all over liked it a lot. In just 3 days, it made over Rs 15 crore. But on Tuesday (April 23), which was a regular work day, it made less money, around 2 crore according to a report from Cinetrak. Even though not many people went to see it in the daytime, fans still went to celebrate by watching it in the evening and at night.
In total, with its re-release, “Ghilli” made Rs 17 crore in 4 days. Since it first came out in 2004, it has made about Rs 68 crore, with Rs 51 crore from back then. Lots of people are talking about it on social media, and videos from its re-release are everywhere. Even though it’s 20 years old, “Ghilli” is getting a lot of attention lately.
Trisha and Prakash Raj, who are in the movie, are happy about all the love the fans are showing it.
Directed by Dharani, “Ghilli” is a Tamil version of a Telugu movie called “Okkadu.” But the Tamil version did better at the box office than the original.
