That means that there’s exactly one month and a day’s difference between November and December’s lunar event!

The Cold Moon: December 2023
According to Time and Date, the December lunar event is referred to as the Cold or Ice Moon.
Each moon of the year is named after something else, because the moon phase indicates something that relates to mankind at this time of the year.
During December months, temperatures plummet in many parts of the world – and this is why December’s moon is given this name.
This is the last moon event for the year, so make sure that you don’t miss it!

According to the website Time and Date, the full moon for January happens on January 6, 2024.
If you want to see the first fresh moon for the year, the good news is that it will happen early in the year. The moon announces a fresh start, and the beginning of a whole new year with more moons to see!
