Rashee Rice Ranks High In Key NFL Category
The Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver corps is getting better after it has been just OK the last couple of seasons - given the dropsies problem, that's being kind - and Rashee Rice is a very big part of that improvement.
In a recent article by PFF, they rank the top wide receivers in the NFL at consistently getting open. Rice sits at a surprisingly high No. 4 on their list, as his ability to create separation from his defender sets him apart from other young wide outs.

"Rice was the only Chiefs receiver to see more than 100 targets last season, and he gained separation on all but nine of them," Lauren Gray writes. "He finished in the top 15 among all receivers in touchdowns and first downs, and he averaged 2.21 yards per route run."
Rice would very well be the future of the Chiefs' receiver corps, especially if he is able to continue to improve as the years go on.
He finished this past season with 938 receiving yards on 79 receptions, and he also had seven touchdowns to add to his impressive stat line. As far as rookie seasons go, Rice was fantastic, and he will look to improve in his time off the field this coming season.
While Rice is most likely facing a lengthy suspension due to his car crash issue in Dallas, he will look to come back better than ever when he is allowed to. ... and given this propensity for getting open? The Chiefs will need him.
