Fahadh Faasil acknowledged that ‘Trance’, which delved into the murky world of religious exploitation, failed to succeed commercially. He attributed the film’s lack of success to its imbalance in entertainment value, stating that while it carried significant awareness, the entertainment quotient was compromised. He emphasized that a refined second half could have made a significant difference in the film’s reception.

Despite the critical acclaim garnered by ‘Trance’, Fahadh Faasil expressed reluctance to revisit religious themes in his future endeavors. He stressed the importance of entertainment alongside thought-provoking narratives, hinting at a shift in focus for his upcoming projects.

‘Trance’, a psychological thriller directed by Anwar Rasheed, aimed to shed light on the exploitative practices within Kerala’s religious industry. The movie featured the actors including Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil’s recent outing ‘Aavesham’ is running successfully in cinemas.
