E-bikes with Foxconn powertrain launched

Goa-based electric vehicle startup, Kabira Mobility has launched its second generation of electric motorbikes KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II models.

As per the company, the models are the first electric bikes to feature an Aluminium core Hub Motor powertrain, developed in collaboration with Foxconn. The 12kW in-hub powertrain, the company says, features India’s first Aluminium Core Powertrain delivering a Max Torque of 192nM, top speed of 120 km/h and can accelerate from 0 – 40 in 02.9s.

“Both models come with a revolutionary Modular Battery Pack offering a certified range of 201 km, a segment-leading 1.5kW On-board charger, and a host of advanced features, setting a new benchmark in electric motorbike segment,” the company added in a release.

According to Kabira Mobility, the KM4000 has undergone a complete overhaul with a naked and futuristic design. Both the KM3000 and KM4000 models introduce many design improvements and additions “to enhance the riding experience, including an innovative Frunk for additional storage”.

Further the KM3000 Mark-II Models feature an All-New Projector headlamp providing an improved night-time riding experience and improving the safety and awareness of the user.

For safety, the electric bikes offer Dual CBS and larger disc brakes.

The KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II Models feature a Telescopic Front fork and a Mono shock Rear suspensions by Showa.

The KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II models are priced at 1,74,000 and 1,76,000 respectively (Ex-Showroom Goa), 11.

Specifications:

There are two version of both the bikes – KM3000, KM3000-V, KM4000, and KM4000V. All the four versions have same performance parameters. They also come with same riding modes – ECO, CITY, SPORTS, PARKING, REVERSE. While, KM3000 and KM4000 have 4.1 kWh battery and offer same certified range of 178km, the other two offer higher 201 km range owing to their 5.15 kWh battery pack. All the four models come with 1500 w on-board charger.

They all come with IP67 certification. They also come with 3 years or 30000 kms warranty.
