communal mishap averted: drones detect stones on roofs in ranchi ahead of ram navami
Ranchi: In anticipation of the Ram Navami festival on April 17, the Jharkhand police conducted inspections along the route slated for the procession in Ranchi. Their surveillance revealed stones strategically placed atop several residences in key areas such as Main Road, Lake Road, and Hind Peedhi Road.
Using drone cameras, cops identified the presence of stones on rooftops, prompting the issuance of notices to property owners. The notices served as a precautionary measure and mandated the removal of the stones before the festival commences. Warning of strict repercussions if the stones are misused during the procession, the police said that stringent action would be taken against property owners in such instances.
SSP Ranchi has directed the administration to maintain vigilance and prevent any potential disturbances leading up to the Ram Navami festival. Asserting a zero-tolerance policy towards rumours or any untoward incidents, the SSP assured of swift punitive measures, including immediate arrest and detention.
To ensure the safety and security of the city during the Ram Navami procession, an extensive police presence is scheduled for April 17th. Any individual attempting to incite communal tensions or violence will face arrest and legal action, as affirmed by police authorities.
