In the last couple of years when e-commerce has created a dynamic position for itself in the Indian market, quick commerce also referred to as Q-commerce has been set ablaze with platforms like Blinkit and Zepto taking on each other. An online grocery store, Blinkit focuses on sending delivery to areas within a couple of minutes, thus bringing a lot of ease to customers across the comfort of their homes. Known for its quick delivery of groceries and essentials, Blinkit has done it once again by making a record-making delivery within three minutes.
Recently, a Bengaluru-based entrepreneur placed an order for a gujiya mould on Blinkit, and to his surprise, the order came along in perfect shape in just three minutes, leaving him quite surprised and startled by the speedy delivery.
The user named Tanay Srivastava took to social media and shared details of the same while also appreciating the company. He also shared how the record delivery time changed his perspective about the company. While sharing screenshots of the order summary, Tanay also added a picture, showing his mother preparing gujiyas in the kitchen with the Blinkit-delivered mould.
“Mom’s Gujia mould broke. Couldn’t go to get one immediately. Ordered from Blinkit. It arrived in 3 freakin minutes. This is some level of operational excellence. Two years back I believed Blinkit was weak operationally. Perspective changed,” he wrote.
While the post instantly grabbed the attention of many users, Blinkit founder Albinder Dhindsa also reacted to the same and joined in the conversation. “Glad we were able to change your perspective! Happy Holi to you and the family,” he wrote in the comments section.
While the tweet has so far amassed over 8,000 views, it has also been liked by many. A user commented and wrote, “Blinkit took its name way too seriously.”
Swiggy’s 65-second delivery
Of late, a lot of incidents showing quick deliveries have gained traction on the internet. Earlier in 2023, Swiggy Instamart made a record time by delivering a packet of instant noodles in just 65 seconds. Joining in the likes of platforms like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, Flipkart has also initiated same-day delivery of products across various categories at no-extra cost from February.
According to the company, the facility will be initially available in 20 cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Siliguri, Vijayawada, and Coimbatore.
