Known for their widespread popularity, Telugu film dialogues hold a special place in the hearts of fans. In a delightful crossover, Australian cricket star Pat Cummins, captain of the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad, showcased his love for Telugu cinema by reciting iconic dialogues from popular films.
Cummins delighted fans by effortlessly delivering dialogues like “Okasari commit aithe na maata nene vinanu” from Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster film ‘Pokiri’ and the catchy “Pushpa ante flower anukuntiva, fireuuuu” line from the pan-Indian hit ‘Pushpa’. To top it off, he even mimicked the signature gesture of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, adding a touch of authenticity to his performance.
The video quickly went viral on social media platforms, capturing the attention of cricket enthusiasts, and Telugu film fans expressed their delight at witnessing a foreign sportsman embracing and showcasing his appreciation for Telugu cinema in such a fun and engaging manner.
In a separate event, Pat Cummins, along with some of the members of the team, met Superstar Mahesh Babu and his wife, Namrata Shirodkar.
Currently, the team Sunrisers Hyderabad, owned by Kalanithi Maran, is having an impressive run this season in the tournament.
