Industrialist Anand Mahindra reposted a video depicting the breathtaking beauty of Kalsubai Peak in Maharashtra. Sharing the mesmerising clip of the panoramic views of the mountain peak in his post on X, Mahindra urged his followers to “Stop and smell the roses,” intending to embrace life’s simple pleasures and appreciate the marvels of nature.

Located near Igatpuri, in proximity to Mahindra’s engine factory, Mt. Kalsubai is Maharashtra’s highest peak, offering a spectacular vista of the surrounding landscape. In his post, Mahindra said that despite visiting Igatpuri several times, he never heard about this place and its beauty.Â

The video was initially shared by X user ‘X Ali Al Samahi’ on April 26.Â

Sharing the video, Mahindra wrote, “This is Mt. Kalsubai in Maharashtra near Igatpuri, near our engine factory. I’ve been to Igatpuri several times but never heard about this place and its beauty. Let alone visiting it. We definitely need to take time in life to ‘Stop & smell the roses’.” Â

Kalsubai Peak, situated in the Western Ghats, holds the distinction of being Maharashtra’s highest peak. Located within the Ahmednagar district, in Akole Taluka, its summit reaches an elevation of 5,400 feet, earning the title, “Everest of Maharashtra.”
