Actor Neha Sharma holds roadshow in support of father in Bihar’s Bhagalpur
Bollywood actor Neha Sharma on Thursday held a massive roadshow in support of her father Ajit Sharma in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. Ajit Sharma, a Congress candidate, is contesting from Bhagalpur.
Neha Sharma and her father rode on a Thar and campaigned from Sonavarsa to Naugachhia. She greeted and waved to the people who stood on the roadside to catch a glimpse of her and her father.
Hundreds of workers from the Mahagathbandhan, an alliance comprising Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Left parties, also participated in the roadshow.
Currently, Ajit Sharma is an MLA from Bhagalpur Sadar.
Bhagalpur is among the five seats in Bihar, along with Banka, Kishanganj, Katihar and Purnia, which will vote in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Friday. Results are expected to be declared on June 4.
Earlier, there was speculation that Neha Sharma, who had made her Bollywood debut in 2010, would join politics and contest the Lok Sabha elections.
However, Ajit Sharma put an end to all rumours surrounding her daughter’s possible electoral debut and said she was busy with her shooting commitments.
