As India gears up for the impending Lok Sabha elections in 2024, social media platforms are abuzz with political content. Amidst this fervor, a viral video purportedly showing Aamir Khan endorsing a specific political party has caused a stir. However, the renowned actor has swiftly debunked this as a fake video, stating that he has never officially endorsed any political party throughout his illustrious 35-year career.
Clarification from Aamir Khan’s Spokesperson
An official spokesperson for Aamir Khan clarified the situation, asserting that the actor has consistently focused on public awareness campaigns organized by the Election Commission in previous elections. The spokesperson expressed concern over the false video circulating and confirmed that Khan has taken legal action, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police.
“The official spokesperson of Aamir Khan stated, “We want to clarify that Mr. Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections. We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police.”
In response to the incident, Aamir Khan urged all Indian citizens to actively participate in the electoral process by exercising their right to vote.

On the professional front, Aamir Khan is set to make a comeback with two highly anticipated films. He will star opposite Genelia D’Souza in RS Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par and produce Lahore: 1947, featuring Sunny Deol in the lead role. Both projects are scheduled to commence filming in February.
