2024 NFL Mock Draft: Top 10 picks

With the NFL regular season in its final quarter, many teams are now focusing on the 2024 NFL Draft. Detroit will host the 2024 draft, and as always, the draft will offer teams a chance to reboot and reload their rosters.

The upcoming draft will feature some incredibly talented players. Some experts suggest that the 2024 class could be the most talented in recent years. The teams drafting in the top ten will want to select potential superstars or game-changing players. Here is DAZN’s top-ten mock draft.

2024 Mock Draft

1 – Chicago Bears (via Carolina): Caleb Williams, QB, USC

The Carolina Panthers currently have the worst record in the NFL. However, they traded their 2024 pick to the Chicago Bears last year. Therefore, the Bears would be first up when Roger Goodell starts the clock.

Despite Justin Fields’ improvement in recent weeks, he is due for a contract extension. Drafting a rookie quarterback is a cheaper move, and they will have another four years to evaluate and develop a quarterback.

USC’s Caleb Williams is arguably the most talented quarterback available. ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky has likened Williams to Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray. Williams, an athletic, instinctive quarterback with a competitive fire, should be the first quarterback selected next spring. He could ignite Chicago’s rebuild and give GM Ryan Poles his chosen quarterback.

2 – Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison JR, WR, Ohio State University

With Kyler Murray back and returning to game fitness, the Cardinals will continue to build around their former first-overall pick. All quarterbacks need and want top-tier wide receivers. Marvin Harrison Jr is arguably the best wide receiver available. And one could compare him to Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase; he is that good.

Harrison Jr., the son of a Hall of Famer, is a unanimous All-American and former BIG Ten Player of the Year. Adding the Ohio State product could turbocharge Arizona’s passing attack and elevate Murray’s quarterback play.

3 – New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

The New England Patriots’ troubles have them picking third overall, the highest they have selected in two decades. With Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe, Will Grier and Malik Cunningham unlikely to be the long-term option at quarterback, New England will surely be shopping for a quarterback.

North Carolina’s Drake Maye is a stocky, powerful thrower with exceptional leadership skills. He is a complete upgrade on New England’s current quarterbacks and will herald a new era for the Patriots.

4 – Chicago Bears: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

The Bears are back on the clock thanks to their own pick and their current 4-8 record. Picking fourth provides Chicago with another chance to overhaul their offensive roster. LSU’s Malik Nabers is an electrifying wide receiver.

His high speed and explosive playmaking ability make him a coveted prospect, and he will add a significant downfield attacking threat to any offense. Pairing Nabers with DJ Moore and Caleb Williams would give the Bears significant offensive firepower.

5 – Washington Commanders: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

Commanders quarterback Sam Howell is in the top five in sacks taken this season. The young quarterback has faced heavy pressure from opposing defenders all season long. Washington’s offensive line has struggled to protect Howell, and if he, the quarterback, is going to be successful, he will need protection.

Penn State’s Olu Fashanu is the best blindside protector in this class. He is powerful, balanced and athletic. Playing in the BIG Ten, Fashanu has faced up against high-quality defenders, meaning his transition into the NFL should be smoother than others. His instincts and size make him an excellent prospect.

6 – New York Giants: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Offensive linemen are priceless in today’s NFL. Protecting the quarterback is pivotal to a team’s success. Like Washington, the New York Giants offensive line has toiled all season. Injuries have highlighted a need for more depth, and some starters like Evan Neal have found life difficult.

Joe Alt is another powerful offensive tackle with outstanding balance and length. Alt understands protection schemes and angles and is a brilliant pass protector. With Daniel Jones returning from an ACL injury next season, protecting him will be critical.

7 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Michael Penix JR, QB, Washington

Tampa has big questions to answer at quarterback. The Bucs signed Baker Mayfield to a one-year deal before the 2023 season, and it is uncertain whether he will re-sign with the team for 2024.

Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. is a livewire at quarterback. He is a legitimate throwing and running threat, a playmaker and an experienced starter. His game-understanding and explosive ability make him dangerous in and out of the pocket. Tampa requires a spark on offense, and this exciting rookie could provide it.

8 – New York Jets: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The Jets’ offensive line has endured much turmoil this season. Injuries and inconsistent performances have blighted the Jets, and with Aaron Rodgers now 40 and coming back from an Achilles injury, the offensive line must improve.

Latham is a sturdy blocker with experience being a professional-like offense. His broad frame and strength make him a challenging proposition for defenders. Adding him should freshen the Jets’ offensive line and ensure more consistency.

9 – LA Chargers: Jared Verse, DE, Florida State University

With Khalil Mack in the closing chapters of his career and Joey Bosa out with a severe injury, the Chargers’ pass rush needs a jolt. FSU’s Jared Verse is a speedy, aggressive pass rusher with a non-stop engine.

The Chargers defence has failed to generate a consistent pass rush this season, and Verse’s youth should add energy and the raw skills to improve this unit.

10 – Tennessee Titans: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State University

Since losing AJ Brown in 2022, the Tennessee Titans have not found reliable production from their wide receiver room. Veteran DeAndre Hopkins is not a long-term solution, while youngster Treylon Burks has battled injury and inconsistency. Tennessee’s best receiver is arguably Nick Westbrook-Ikihne; they need more firepower.

Keon Coleman is a twitchy athlete with exceptional hands and body control. He excels in contested catches and can beat defenders at the catch point. With Will Levis known for throwing jump balls and contested balls, Coleman would add another intriguing ingredient to Tennessee’s offense. And he is a very reliable red zone target.
