Week 12 will officially close with this week’s edition of “Monday Night Football” between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, but the top of the MVP race became clear after Sunday’s games. With that clarity rose a new leader in NFL MVP odds.
As the 2023 NFL season continues, we’ll be tracking NFL MVP odds every week for the remainder of the season.

NFL MVP odds: How the race looks before MNF
1. QB Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (+200)
Last week: T-1 (+300)
Hurts became the new odds leader for this year’s NFL MVP after leading the Eagles in a stunning comeback win in overtime over the Bills.
The quarterback rushed for two touchdowns, including the game winner, while going 18-31 with 200 yards, three touchdowns and one interception as a passer.
Hurts and the Eagles face a tough test in Week 13 when they host the 49ers in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.
2. QB Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (+350)
Last week: T-1 (+300)
Mahomes and the Chiefs bounced back from a brutal loss to the Eagles last Monday in a 31-17 win over the Raiders.
One week after receiver drops plagued Kansas City and its quarterback – who threw for a season-low 177 yards in the loss to Philadelphia – Mahomes was 27-34 with 298 yards and two touchdowns in Las Vegas.
The Chiefs will head to Green Bay in Week 13 to take on a young Packers team that has started to click.
3. QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (+500)
Last week: 3 (+400)
The Ravens hold sole possession of first place in their division and conference after a big win over the Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
Jackson finished the game 18-32 on pass attempts for 177 yards and one touchdown.
Baltimore gets a bye in Week 13 before hosting the Rams the following Sunday.

T-4. QB Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (+800)
Last week: 4 (+600)
Despite a less-than-outstanding day from their quarterback, the Dolphins easily handled the Jets, 34-13, in the NFL’s first Black Friday game this week.
Tagovailoa finished the day 21-30 with 243 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill accounted for 216 of their quarterback’s passing yards.
Miami will take on the Commanders on Sunday in Week 13.
T-4. QB Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (+800)
Last week: 10 (+4000)
Though a quarterback for his divisional rival took over the top spot, Prescott had one of the biggest week-to-week odds leaps of any player after a stellar Week 12 performance.
In the Cowboys’ 45-10 win over the Commanders on Thanksgiving, the quarterback completed 22 of 32 pass attempts for 331 yards and four touchdowns.
Dallas will play on Thursday for a second week in a row as it hosts the Seahawks in the Week 13 edition of “Thursday Night Football.”
