The top EV manufacturer Build Your Dreams Aka BYD, who has defeated Tesla in terms of sales overseas, is all set to launch its tech-loaded electric sedan Seal in India. This will be the third product in the market after the all-electric e6 and the Atto 3.
BYD has already started taking the booking for the same. Interested customers can reserve the four-wheeler by paying a fully refundable token amount of Rs 1 lakh. It is either can be booked via the company’s authorized dealership or online through the official website.
All About BYD Seal
The company has not revealed many details about the vehicle as yet, but some reports claim that it will come with a long list of trending features that will be first in the segment.
Expected Price
It has been reported that the battery-powered sedan will arrive in the country at the expected price range between Rs 60 lakh to Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this is just speculation, the concrete details are expected to be cleared by tomorrow itself at the launch.
Talking about the design, it seems like the BYD has taken some inspiration from the Porsche Taycan as it shares a lot of similarities with the performance car. It features an identical LED headlight, paired with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs.
Features
The car is likely to hit the road with an impressive aesthetic and will be running on stylish diamond-cut alloy wheels. The other highlighted features include the sport flush door handles, sloping roofline, automatic boot lid, and whatnot.
Battery Setup
Under the hood, Seal will be offered in two battery configurations – 61.4kWh and 82.5kWh. The former will feature either single or dual-motor setup, while the latter one will hit the market with all-wheel-drive option. The bigger battery size is expected to generate a max power of 523bhp with an impressive range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge.
