Karan Johar Acquires Distribution Rights For Jr NTR And Janhvi Kapoor's 'Devara' In North India

New Delhi: Janhvi Kapoor is set to make her debut in a South film with ‘Devara: Part 1’. For the first time, she will also be teaming with Jr. NTR. The rights to distribute Jr. NTR’s ‘Devara: Part 1’ theatrically in North India have now been acquired by Karan Johar of Dharma Productions and Anil Thadani of AA Films. Filmmaker Karan Johar himself shared this news on Instagram.

Sharing the poster of ‘Devara: Part 1’, Karan Johar wrote, “A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment is CLOSER THAN EVER BEFORE! Honoured & extremely grateful to be a part of – Man of Masses Jr NTR’s #Devara We are extremely thrilled & proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema!”

In a social media post, the ‘Devara’ team also confirmed the news, writing, “Happy to join forces with the dynamic distributors of our country, Karan Johar and AA Films for the North India theatrical distribution of #Devara! Looking forward to a thunderous release on 10th October 2024!”

Dharma Productions has previously supported ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (directed by SS Rajamouli).

‘Devara: Part 1’ Release Date

Jr. NTR’s 30th film ‘Devara’ is set in a coastal town. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also features Ramya Krishna, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and others. The cinematography of the film is done by R Rathnavelu, while the score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

‘Devara’, which is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, will premiere on October 10, 2024.
